Browning 71 Half Cock on Firing Pin

Post by 348win »

For whatever reason the Browning Model 71's half cock is rested against the firing pin.
The pins gets pushed in ever so slight when it goes to half cock, maybe 0.030".

I don't know anything about how "many pc's" these firing pins have

Miroku Japan

(Got a Browning Model 53, to compare, that is NORMAL hammer does NOT contact firing pin on half cock)

Interesting info to pass along

Doesn't hurt anything as long as the firing pin doesn't break the plane of the breech
