I asked on Sunday what the barrel length is, but still don't see an answer. If I were to hazard a guess, I think it's a 16".

It definitely doesnt look 20" I am guessing 16.5" as it looks shorter than 18". I have three marlins, all JM Stamped, the newest being in the early 80s. ALL with the complete JM stamp fully legible. While the JM stamp does look similar, I think there were a few years where they continued to use the stamp but it was not struck to where the entire stamp was legible. Not certain it has the same quality as the previous. I have known others with guns that had a stamp similar to this that for some reason they were never satisfied with and traded them off.
