Any members own Bullet Making Companies Copper Mono?
Anyone own a company making monolithic bullets?
I am looking for an owner/bullet maker to partner up/co-op in making some fine lever action bullets
The markets got a need.
I been handloading and hunting w lever actions many years, see this issue and need whenever I use what's available.
I figure mono copper because we can run them out CNC, or even manual lathe. It will take some trial, testing, developing I am willing to do.
Please pm me if your interested.

In case you’re not aware Barnes at one time made a copper mono for the 348. They still make some pills they no longer list on their site. It would probably be a question of making a large enough order to get their attention.

Thank you,
yes I am aware, have used them they are very good bullets Barnes "X"
An NO Barnes is not interested in making anymore even bothered by a order inquiry of several thousands last I checked
They still support the 30-30 and 45-70? (Maybe more lever bullets as well) Which is excellent
And their XPB pistol mono bullet is excellent also.

Woodleigh made a nice 250gr jacketed w heavy crimp groove but I believe factory is gone to fire and bullets discontinued
I much prefer do the 220gr trajectory (and dislike the 250's)
Maybe if I was only shooting real close the 250s would be OK but I had to run (3) different sight settings 200gr, 220gr, and 250gr and the 250s kicked a lot and drop a lot....
The 220 takes up less powder space.
To each his own but that was my experience, hopefully it helps somebody else.
I suppose I could have spent more time on powder charges to get point of aims to match on sights, but it didn't work out that way.
220 is the just right hammer for my toolbox.

Hammer copper mono bullets list quite a few bullets for leverguns, incl 348.
There’s a small Aussie bullet maker who’s been making copper pills for leverguns, though I’m not sure whether he exports. You can find him on Facebook under ‘Atomic 29’.

Re: Any members own Bullet Making Companies Copper Mono?
Granted they don't do monolithic but Hawk bullets also has 348 . I can't see being 'stuck' with copper bullets if a good lead core is available unless I was living in a lead free state like California.
If it were me I'd be looking into finding a small machine shop to turn bullets. Though I haven't looked into getting material I wonder if guilding metal is available to the public, how much you would need to buy. Then it would be a matter of trying different designs until you get one to work well.

BROWN LABS MATTER !!
Re: Any members own Bullet Making Companies Copper Mono?
I tried the HAMMER components; they were not compatible w Brownings Short Throat
(had to modify brass; shorten
and shorten a crimp die)
Offered constructive criticism to Hammer Bullets to reshape ogive to work in BOTH Browning and Winchester, since they were fairly new to market, and then other customers won't get "jammed up"......
His reply and solution was to go get my rifle throat cut deeper.

I'm actually thinking of having my Browning's throat cut more in line with the Winchesters.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.
Re: Any members own Bullet Making Companies Copper Mono?
I did a lead throat impression of my Browning 71. It has no throat at all. What appears as a slight throat is actually a slightly long neck.
Most 348 bullets are bore diameter ahead of the crimp groove. Cast bullets with a front drive band will likely foul at the end of the chamber. I use a Lee FCD to crimp cast bullets in place where they still chamber and cycle through the action.
