LASC Website Down

Post by ikocher »

I'm not affiliated with the group but their website had always been useful for research and what not. I saw the site was down a while back but it hasn't come back up. Are they okay over there?

Archive.org has copies of the old LASC.us site. The archive often doesn't capture images, though.

I wonder if we could host some of the pages. Or CBA or castboolits…
Kind regards,

Glen Fryxell's articles alone were priceless.

Could they somehow be sucked into our website (dunno if Glen would need to ok that).

Here's some of his stuff that is still on-line...

I used the LASC site a fair amount. There was some good stuff there. It's still available on the way back machine, but of course, that could go down too.

I am in the process of adding some of Glen's work onto BulletMatch, with his permission. I've got From Ingot to Target available in pdf form, and I'm working on some of his articles.

That's sad to here they are likely gone for good. I've got a link up on my blog for the Archive page to help. Thankfully, I have a local copy of the PDF plus one in my email for the From Ingot to Bullet. I had been hoping to start with casting soon and figured I'd want a copy. I agree that I could be a good idea to see about getting their content moved to somewhere. I'm using Blogspot to host my blog and if I can find a way to help store anything, I'm happy to do so. I just don't want to lose their data. It's just been too useful to let slide into oblivion.
