My daughter lives in north Austin and sent us some pictures. However, as we told her, that isn't even a light frost let alone actual snow.
At the beginning of winter last fall we got a real snow event. It snowed twice in 2 days and we got a total of 34" of the fluffy white stuff. That's a real snow storm.

Jim, stay off the roads until it blows over. I have found that many in Texas have no concept of the basic principles of traction.

I remember being at Shepard AFB in Wichita Falls in fall of 1969 and they got 10" of snow!! It shut the whole base down for a week, and luckily that was from Christmas to New Years!

I live in Mobile, AL and we had 7 1/2 inches of snow. Pensacola , FL had 10 inches and Navarre FL had 8 and 1/2 inches.

1973 George AFB a storm dumped about 18" in less than 24 hours.
