there is not one iota of exaggeration in this flick. in fact, it is somewhat understated according to some studies I've read. seeing how the fires in LA are having their way, Cascadia is sort of the same, only Much Bigger. And the unmentioned side bar? The ring of fire postcard volcanoes could be triggered by the extreme distortions to their lava pools.

And the funnest thing? We live on top of it.

I'll never forget watching the news coverage from the '94 quake. There was small blue Dodge that looked like it could have been my little Daytona, crushed under what was left of a concrete overpass with a leg sticking out. The guy had on the same shoes and color jeans that I wore just about every day. Totally freaked me out.
I think about that scene a lot and how that guys life got cut short in the blink of an eye.
