My uncle bought a Willys jeep on a pallet sometime in the 1960s, and I think he said he paid $100 for it. I’m sure he didn’t assemble it as fast as this team of . . . . . Germans….

I wish I had gotten one and kept it. It seems like it would make a great utility vehicle.

I've always wanted an old flat fender Willys jeep. To have purchased one new in the box, so to speak, would be wild.
In college I came close to buying a 1950 or 51 Willys pickup. It needed quite a bit of work but all were things I could fix. I reasoned it would become my hunting/fishing rig. I was all in right up to when the guy told me the price. He wanted $1,600 and wouldn't budge. Considering the price was over 1/4 the cost of the brand new car I'd purchased the year before I declined.
Sometime though I wish I'd have gone for it....
