Kurt Roosevelt used to sniff around a German immigrant woman that lived in half the farm house that friends of mine owned. We referred to a thicket as Kurt's Thicket, his favorite place to hunt.
As for the German lady, her and her sister survived the Lusitania sinking. Lots of interesting stories up at the farm!
They were quite the family , where would we be without them!
