What Happened On Dec. 7th?

Post by JimT »

43 BC Assassination of Cicero

1787 Delaware is the 1st state to ratify the US constitution

1869 Jesse James first confirmed bank robbery

1917 The USA's 42nd 'Rainbow' Division arrives in France

1941 Imperial Japanese Navy with 353 planes attacks the US fleet at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii, killing 2,403 people

Sadly most all of these (and others) have been forgotten ...

I didn't know the other things that happened on this date, but I do remember the day that will live in infamy.

It is also my father in laws birthday. He might get a kick out of the Jesse James bank robbery. Thanks for sharing.

I flew my flag at half staff from sunrise to sunset today. Unfortunately I have the only house in the neighborhood with an actual flag pole versus a house-mounted flag. Many neighbors have those, but most are sporting holiday-themed flags. :(
