In June of 2013, the Washington Post and The Guardian have revealed a US government mass Internet surveillance program code-named "PRISM". They report that the NSA and the FBI have been tapping directly into the servers of nine US service providers, including Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Yahoo, YouTube, AOL and Skype, and began this surveillance program at least seven years ago.

This is from an email account I have at startmail. email in my startmail account can't be seen by the mass surveillance vampires. or anyone else.

the only other way to have privacy is to encrypt all the emails you send, and only open encrypted emails. other emails and chats pass unencrypted thru the routers, and can be read by any packet sniffer. i don't believe any claims by the above liars as to the security of their comms. signal is good so far. whatsapp is not secure.

I deleted everything Google etc. as much as I could some years ago. Went with proton mail and tor and Firefox for browsers, duck duck go for search. Even so I still believe tracking can be and is going on.

good moves they do help. tracking happens, but the contents are secure. a vpn lets me log into servers in ukraine and israel, when i want to see ads in hebrew, or kentucky when i want to see horse racing ads on speedtest.

one of the bigg reasons for the ai push is that "they" think they can break any and all encryption. "they" even think can see what you are thinking. I try to remember to think thoughts about, well, you know LOL :)

the chat app we use is Signal, which gets constantly challenged. we will know if and when it gets breached. until then it is the most secure way i know of to communicate. it even has a disappearing note feature if there are things you don't want sitting around "out there". because other people can unsecure an image or text by saving to the phone or computer, it is no longer incrypted.
