I’m guilty of coveting those Mesquite grips!

That is a really fun gun and I love the way it feels in the hand.

Is anyone making or converting the Lee FCD for the 480 Achilles? Am interested in converting a 45 Colt to this?

Awesome, thanks for sharing. It's the first I've seen of the cartridge. I did find a list of articles about it though the other day, but I haven't had a chance to read through them yet.

Jim, I re-read your article on the Achilles on the Leverguns.com page and might have missed it, but what is the twist rate Gary Reeder used in that barrel?
I ask as I see Douglas offers a .475 Linebaugh barrel with .467/.475 groove and land, 8 grooves and twists from 1:14 to 1:24. I am sure there are other suppliers.

I really like that long barreled gun that Jim has. I especially like the grips.

It’s quite comfortable and accurate in my hands and it helps that it has a very good trigger.
