New Marlins?
How are the newest Marlins? I'm pondering picking up an 1894C (357 Mag) if I can find one.

Winchesters with restruck "MX" serial numbers?
I ran across an Winchester 1892 SRC at show today that looked like it had been to hell and back. The gun's receiver appeared to have been buffed at some point and where the factory serial number would be was a restruck number with an MX prefix. The price for the gun was fairly cheap for an 1892, but...

How did I do?
Went to a gunshow today and saw a pre-64 94 sitting in a rack. It looked to be clean and used, but not abused and did not appear to be modified in any way. The gun is the typical 20" round barrel variety and is marked as "Model 94" and "30 WCF." The serial number is 12798**,...

Consensus on Marlin 41 Mags
What is the general consensus on Marlins chambered in 41 Mag?
I'm looking at a later production new in the box 1894 with a pistol grip stock chambered in 41 Mag to compliment my S&W M57.

Winchester 94 357 Magnum
When did Winchester start producing the 1894 in 357 Magnum?

Looking for info on Marlin 1894P's
I've decided I want a handy little levergun and I think I've settled on a Marlin 1894P. These guns seem a tad rare. When were they made and is there any particular vintage/features I should look for? Anything I should avoid?

Which 357?
I'm looking to buy my first levergun. I shoot/carry 357 Magnum more than any other revolver cartridge so I figure that would be the best cartridge to get for me (I'll pickup a 30-30 later). I'm leaning toward trying to find an pre-cross bolt safety Winchester 94 if they're out there. I took a look a...
