Re: Tax Time Again, time for a new Henry

I always claim single 0 dependents. I always have gun money at the end of the year and that is when I buy most of my guns. Taxes are what they are so you just have to deal with them the best way that you can. It sucks big time but it is life in the good old USA

Tax Time Again, time for a new Henry

Ok Guy's/Girl's Tax Time Again, Time for a new Henry Well I have been working on it ever since buy it. I am a shorter fella so I always have to cut the LOP down to 12.5" which I did on this rifle. Bought a used Military style sling for it that was shortened by someone. I had lengthen it back to...

Re: If you could have just one Rossi 92 ...

If only one, I would prefer the .44 Mag. Absolutely nothing at all the .44 Mag won't do. I have this Rossi in .357 Mag and the exact same style in a Winchester .44 Mag. Prefer the .44

Re: Introduction / Andy Larsson

Glad to see you took over the forum. Hoping that you make a few changes here. I am a Lever gun fanatic. I've bought a few of your sights over the years, very nice. Don't know about others, because I don't spend a whole lot of time on this site. To me just a little to much confusion on seeing everyth...

Re: If you could have just one Rossi 92 ...

For me I have the Rossi 16" Big Loop short rifle in .357 really like it. But for caliber wise I will take the 44 Mag which I have in the exact same rifle but Winchester.

Re: New Model Miroku Winchester 1892 Safety Delete Plug

The Micarta does look good but I was looking for that exact same thing in blued steel. How do you have that held in ? Glued ? I was looking and wondering if someone made these in steel that screwed on from the underneath side.

New Model Miroku Winchester 1892 Safety Delete Plug

I have been to this site a few times but really have never stuck around. I have almost all my rifles are lever guns except one Marlin model 60. I have New Model Winchesters, Uberti' s, Marlins, Henry's and Browning along with Rossi's also. All very good rifles. But the Winchesters are really very we...

Re: Henry 45/70 Side Gate Done My Way

AJMD429 It would be nice if they did but I am happy to have them placed in the back dovetail of where the original was. Kind of in a way makes them look more authentic to me. Scott, since most hunting with a higher caliber is done in colder weather (Cool) the shorter stock does not grab the clothing...

Re: Henry 45/70 Side Gate Done My Way

Guy's Thanks for all the comments. Really appreciate the advice also on the tape and stock. I have tried it that way but for me it never seems to work out. I have two more Bullseye sights on the way for a couple 22 rifles. One a 1966 39A Golden Mountie and the other for a New Browning BL-22 Micro Mi...

Henry 45/70 Side Gate Done My Way

Ok Guy's/Gal's I did get my new Henry H010 side gate in. Before I shoot my guns there is always a few things that I do to them. First and most important thing is to cut the LOP down to 12.5" which is the first thing I also did on this new Henry. It is hard to match the finish up when you do thi...

I have never had the opportunity to hold a Mossberg lever gun. I will have to try one soon.

Re: What More Do You Really Need...

Well I like the 30-30 and for a hunting round it probably is hard to beat. I do not hunt so I very seldom shoot my 30-30. I Love to shoot steel though and I also reload. I use my 357's 44's and 45 Colts because I am set up to reload those and enjoy shooting my Pistol and Rifle combo's together. So j...

Re: Marlin '94

Well I have JM stamped Marlins and a Remlin Marlin. Both are top notched shooters and I see nothing wrong with either of them. I am glad that Remington (or the sales group) bought Marlin. They are still a great American made Rifle. Built here in the good old USA. Trash talk all you want but I Love b...
