I qualify as a senior shooter, so I get to say this. A lot of the older guys just want to drive up to the line and shoot. They don;t want to talk, they don't want to mess with anyone. They just want to shoot and leave. I saw this often in Tucson - Old Coot City. At the wonderful trap range they woul...

That Browning should fetch enough to buy a Marlin. You'd think so - but it seems the Marlins contain some rare minerals that make them expen$ive as a new diamond ring. I found a guy locally who said he'd sell me his JM stamped 39A for $750. Another one said $600 for a 1940s model. For now I'm going...

I have a stainless m92 in .454 that I shoot in Lever Action Silhouette matches. Once I got the tang sight adjusted it worked quite well. The recoil from the .454 is stout, but nothing to worry about - shooting 50 rounds at practice is not a big deal...like shooting a 20 gauge is correct. I use 45 Co...

You'll love that Tang sight. If you have to change the front sight too - remember to tap it our left side to right side. The left side of the barrel is your left side when you look through the sight. I started using a tang a year ago and it has made a lot of difference in my shooting (it got better)...

But seriously - the deer don't really care. And I don't think they are that much bigger than when my dad hunted East Texas with his 32-20. A good hunter will learn where to place the shot - a poor hunter will use a pickup truck.
