Re: 45 Colt Browning Low Wall
Thank you for the replies. I too have noticed that the chamber is rather large and I'm thinking a larger diameter will help center the cartridge in the chamber.

45 Colt Browning Low Wall
Have any of you owners of a Browning Low Wall in 45 Colt slugged your bore? If so what dimensions did you get for groove and bore? Thank you.

Thanks for the load and bullet info. I wish I could locate some Unique and Reloder 7 and primers. Perhaps once we get beyond the current crisis...

Favorite cast boolit in a Browning Model 53
I'm getting ready to order a mold from Accurate Molds and am considering a 3 cavity with 2 cavities for the 31-105C and 1 cavity for the 31-112L. Both will be plain base. I currently have a Lyman 311316GC. These will be shot in my Browning Model 53. So before I fire off my order I wanted to hear fro...

Thanks for the replies and info.
hfcable - thank you for the history. My Browning is one fine rifle and I hope to be able to shoot it to it's full potential.

Re: Winchester Model 53 tang screws
Thanks Kirk. I wonder why this wasn't done at the factory? It just looks right with a tang sight and the factory sights are challenging to use in anything but perfect light. I'll have to read up on drilling and tapping to see if it is something I want to do or find a local gunsmith to do it. Thank y...

Winchester Model 53 tang screws
Does anyone here know if the original Winchester 53 came with two tang screws? I've got a Browning 53 and I would like to have a Marbles tang sight on but torn about having to D & T the tang. I think it would be easier to do if the original 53 came that way. Thanks.

I've got Lil'Gun so I will try that and think I will work on finding some 2400 and maybe give the Green Dot and RL 7 a go as well.

Wonder if anyone is using Green Dot with a 115gr cast bullet? Would be interested in hearing how it does.

Favorite 32-20 loads for a Browning Model 53???
Well I should have my hands on my very own lightly used Browning Model 53 in a week or so. Can you please share your favorite 32-20 loads.
I will need moulds and dies so if you have a favorite in these please share.
Do any of you use an after-market sight on your Model 53?
Thanks,
Alan

Marlin 1894CL or Browning 53
Newbie here I am looking to purchase my first lever-action rifle and I'm looking at either a Marlin 1894CL in 32-20 or a Browning Model 53. The Browning would run me about $250 more than the Marlin. It would be great to hear from those who own these rifles. Can tang sights be had for both and if not...
