Re: Rare Speer and Winchester .348 bullets
I think I'm going to shoot some of the Speer bullets and ponder about the Winchester 150gr bullets. I will try and post some pics. Selling and shipping any to the U.S is not worth the paperwork/legal hassle entailed. Sorry.

Rare Speer and Winchester .348 bullets
Looking for something and uncovered some rare bullets at the back of the top shelf. Save them ?(for what/whom?) or try and sell them as collector's items? 6 boxes Speer 220gr bullets 1 box Winchester 150gr bullets I have lots of Hornady and Barnes bullets , so no real pressure to load/shoot them.......

Re: Is it just me?
I have been shooting my Browning 71 a lot lately looking for the best load with the 250 gr Barnes Original. For some reason, that rifle is just brutal. The muzzle blast and recoil knocks the bejeezus out of me. The 255 Barnes out of my 375 Winchester at 2,000 fps feels like a pussycat next to the 3...

Paco Kelly's book An American Heritage/Leverguns
I came cross a reference to this book while reading about the Winchester 71. I decided i should get a copy and began a search. AbeBooks has been a good place to look for ot of print books in the past. No luck, but they have a "Want List" option. So I put in a book wanted request. I found a...

Marlin curse? I got into lever guns after hanging out around here. I acquired a bunch of Winchesters (71, 1894,88),Browning replicas of Winchesters (71,1895,53,65,1886 ) Savage 99's, Sako Finnwolfs, and only very recently Marlins. Short brass with which FlexTip commercial ammo??
Hornady 348Winchester commercial ammo (loaded with their FlexTip bullets) uses brass that is shorter than standard 348Winchester bras. Does anyone know of a reference source as to which of the commercial mmo with the FlexTip bullets utilize shorter than standard brass?
Thanks!

I think all of the 35 Remington fans passed away in the 1980's. :) I'm sure to pay for that remark very soon. The only thing I know about it is that it needs RCBS shell holder #9 ... an oddball. I bought the Lee die set which came with a shellholder, lucky me for a change. I don't plan to be doing ...

Big fan of the .35 Remington and it's certainly no oddball in the MI or PA woods. I've had several pass through my hands, a couple of which I wish I had kept, but the most recent find is a keeper. Something I learned the other day. If you tend to push your loads to the higher end, beware that powder characteristics change over the years .
