I just got a bag of 348 brass, half the case mouths were bent all to heck. One case however was fubar,the case mouth looks like the mouth of a coffee pot,with a wedge of brass on the outside of the case mouth and a mirror image wedge inside the case mouth.Totally useless. Don, as I recall, Tycer had some problems with .348 cases splitting and Winchester asked for a return and replaced the entire case of ammo. I'd think they would do the same with brass. Those screws are not factory original. However, 218 Bee Browning 65's don't grow on trees, so if you want it as a shooter and the screws don't ruin it for you, I would not automatically write it off. Thanks for the speedy reply, I will discuss with the seller. Why the heck would you put two holes out there? Some kind of sight? The rear sight is not original Browning. Rifle itself looks 99% condition , hardly fired at all. Very strange? Sure was excited at first about finding one though.

Looking at a used Browning 65 (218 Bee) . It has what looks to my eye to have two screws put into top of barrel about 2" ahead of rear barrel sight. Is this original? What would they be for? Bluing around screws not right. Should I pass on it? Thanks.

Please take a look at the picture. the sling swivels are not the deluxe type. I know about those as I have a Deluxe 71 with the original swivel set on it.
