Re: Browning BLR Takedown in 358 Winchester has a new load
I'm not much of a fan of the blr but anything .358 win. gets my attention...... and it is also good to see 4198 being used.....despite the different speeds, 4198 is to the .358 what 3031 is to the 30-30..... as for the barnes, perhaps some of our californios will advise, especially those who are fo...

Browning BLR Takedown in 358 Winchester has a new load
I will apologize in advance for the long post, but I have been away from shooting for a while and I am pretty happy with how today’s project turned out. I wanted to share my success. I found some Barnes 180 grain TTSX bullets and decided to try working up a new load. I used WW brass, Winchester larg...

Re: 358 Winchester bullets
What Thunder 50 said. Those are made for the 35 Remington and you are talking low 35 Rem velocities, so bullets built for it should be ideal. Another option if you don't mind the possibility of them going "splat" on a big hog are 180 grain 357 mag bullets that all the makers produce. And ...

Good Morning Fellas! It has been over a year since I stopped by here and like a nuisance relative I show up and right off the bat start asking questions. The Hornet is probably one of the best single shot small caliber centerfire cartridges ever. Whether that is a break action like a TC Contender or a Handi- Rifle or it is a falling block like a Ruger No 1 or a scaled down Sharps etc. Like this one from Dakota Arms. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/...

Perhaps the coal stove has been inefficient when operating during the warmer weather. In other words it was generating more BTU' then you needed and was bleeding off heat, but now that it is colder it is using the heat it produces to warm your house.

Anyone noticed that the non ethanol fuel is priced well above the ethanol tainted gas. The ethanol requires more BTUs than a gal of gas contains to produce and is ~20% lower in BTUs, so why is the untainted gas so much more costly than the E10 that originally cost more than the non-E gas.
