Assuming factory sights, and that I need to hit with some amount of precision, Blackhawk. A Vaquero could certainly be fun to own, and it is possible to file the front sight to hit predictably with at least one load, but, my eyes would do better with a higher-profile rear sight. Good write-up! Thanks for refreshing my memory! I would like to eventually train with Darryl and Bryan. I have been hearing good things about Darryl, since 2004 or 2005, when I met one of his students at the Blade Show, in Georgia. Driving long distances does not work so well, for me, anymore, but, sooner or later, they may well be scheduled clos...

If two swords are enough for the Twelve Apostles, if I am remembering Luke correctly, I would want to be one of the two carrying a sword. Walking with Jesus, and walking with a sword, do not seem to be mutually exclusive. A knife is still a knife, but, today's sword is, arguably, a handgun. So, I ca...

Re: USCCA vs AttorneysOnRetainer for Liability Coverage...

One aspect of USCCA coverage is that family/domestic violence will NOT be covered. The Kayle Diles case reflected this. Well, considering how much violence does involve some amount of family/domestic factors, this seriously reduces USCCA’s usefulness.

USCCA auto-renewed us, with the credit card on file, after I had TOLD them, by phone, that I planned to use a different payment method, IF we decided to renew. That was annoying, to say the least. I did not realize it, until I saw the next credit card statement. Reluctantly, I let it slide. When the...

Taylor’s markets a scaled-down Sharps falling-block rifle, labeled the Li’l Betsy, or something like that, chambered .22 Hornet. A bit pricey, in my opinion, but looks like fun.

Wonderful weapon, Scott, and that holster looks really nice! At age 63, and 6+ years into retirement from the PD, something lighter and more compact than an all-steel, full-duty-sized handgun is a desirable thing, for much daily carry. The Security Six is, indeed, a wonderful sixgun! The GP100 is not a better-quality revolver, but is less-expensive for Ruger for manufacture, than the double-action Sixes.
