I've been tossing about getting one for some time, and with 22 ammo availability being limited the last few years, i couldn't get inspired about it. Plus, I have my fathers 32 S&w long HE which is small, handy and cheap to reload if I want. I'm prowling the web and see that Ruger has the Single ...

You can make/build/buy, a "box" that a conibear will fit in, that the dogs can't get into. You will need to cut slots for the springs, and set the trap inside the box. scatter some peanuts inside, everything likes peanuts, lol Check the vent in the bathroom, and the heater. I have a camper ...

When I had headless chickens, it was usually possums. Check that there are no crawl unders anywhere, make sure your hot wire is working, but normal hot wire only works if the critter also has ground contact, that may be the problem, as they just climb over it. I don't believe a screech owl could do ...

That's pretty neat, but I think you will lose chopping leverage with only 8"blade.
You ever play with a genuine Kukri?
The Nepalese use them for the same tasks, and they have a lot more chopping ability, theres a size and pattern to fit pretty much any job.

I switched to them when they came out and have tested them on hard packed paper medium and a lot of deer. They are accurate in my 2 30-30's and are more effective on game then when I used 170 Rem CL. Thanks for the responses, I think this is how I'm going to go. While I don't have a problem with a scope, it does make handling a bit more of a pain, and the current peep setup, which has worked perfectly over 30 years, is getting harder to "see", I don't know, something about getting old....
