Hi Joe, I generally tend to shoot .38 spec a lot more accurately than .357 mag from the same gun. I imagine it's the recoil that makes the difference.. Same thing with rifles, the lighter load is always (generally, for me) easier to shoot more accurately. I'm not referring to a good load vs a bad lo...

I guess I'd call the shorter ones "carbines" lever, bolt, whatever...
I , in most cases, prefer carbines to longer stuff because of maneuverability...

Howdy, I also had one of the early ones... Had problems.. Went back to factory twice.. They finally sent me a brand new one.... I sold it without firing it... (For 1/2 price with a caution about my experience) Haven't heard any feedback, perhaps it's doing fine... Also, perhaps they've got 'em 100% ...

I have a Henry .45-70... One of the new ones... Good in every way..
Customer service is the best.... I like the under tube loading, some folks don't...
Lots easier to unload.....
It's made similar to a Marlin, but lots nicer....

Howdy, I have one of those rifles... IMHO, if you're gonna use .38 spec, you might wanna use the longer bullet. At first, mine would cycle .38's but not more than 5 in the tube.. I wound up cutting off some of the mag tube spring to relieve some of the pressure and then it cycled fine... YMMV.. If y...
