Re: Anybody Ever Stone A Sear?
I recently found a cherry Mossberg Palomino 402 carbine in a pawnshop and it followed me home. Great rifle, except for the trigger. Very crisp, but extremely heavy break. A trigger I can't live with! Do you guys do your own trigger jobs? Does that include stoning trigger sears and hammer notches? I...

We've had 2 of 'em in out neighborhood at different times. I'd have loved to shoot them, but I'm afraid our neighbors might object to live fire in a residential area. For that matter, so would I. Interesting.
I've always heard that those South African Boers were the toughest, most self-reliant white people on the planet. Kinda like we were 200 years ago, before we "evolved" into NFL/NBA-worshipping couch potatoes.
Too bad we threw them under the bus.

Did they not see the gold under their feet? I would find that hard to believe. ...

Some actors in those days really had it made. Movie after movie, John Wayne, Bogart, Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Bette Davis, and a few others basically played just one character: themselves! Just change the period costume (Mongol raider, cowboy, or WWII uniform) and you have John ...
