The stock looks like the top one, the engraving looks like the bottom one. Also the bluing is more of a matte blue, not glossy. Im going to go back in the AM to wrap up the deal. Thanks for all the input from the pro`s, Dave.

Favorite rifle is a 9422 XTR that likes CCI high velocity ammo. My old Ithica model 49 is a very close second. My Buckmark is my favorite 22 pistol. It feeds anything but shoots great with cheap Fedral bulk ammo.

I believe the Rossis with the engraved receiver are some of the older ones. Or maybe not. At any rate, Steve's Guns is the one to discuss these with. As for the Keith SWCS jd45 mentioned, it's a piece of cake to have a Rossi "adjusted" to feed them. I had one in .45 Colt worked over and a...

Thanks for the link! I have 2 other leverguns but theyre both 22s so I dont know much about the Rossi`s and I wasnt sure where to go for info.

Gentlemen I`m new to this forum & I need a little advice. I found a Rossi 44 Mag SR carbine. Good bluing, clean hard wood stock. It has an engraved reciever which Im guessing is press engraving. I believe its an early model as it was imported by Interarms. I dont need this rifle but thats never ...
