Nath,I have a question for you if you don't mind .I recently found a single barrel 12 gauge BP shotgun and I want to try it out.You talk about correcting the pattern placement with a file at the muzzle;just what is it you do to correct this?

Here in Alabama it is imperative that once a BP revolver is shot and cleaned it is checked and re-cleaned at least two more times.That is whether I am shooting BP or Pyrodex.I have also found great benefit in cleaning with a water soluble oil to remove traces of water hiding in the gun.

M M, back in '85 while trying out the Speer jacketed 200 gr bullet I asked them what loads they suggested.They sent me 8 loads but as Terry says the fastest they quoted was Blue Dot.Everything else was either H 110,296,4227,#9,2400 or 800X.
