Re: OT--Record grizzly, killed, 22 Long

Those .22/grizz stories are interesting and incredible. That being said, in the spring and fall, while sneaking around the border in NW Montana, I'll still have my chopped guide gun loaded with Garretts 540's,makes me feel better.

Yup, my Kimber Ultra Carry II has the same reliability, it's my off duty weapon of choice. Second is my HK P2000, it's my duty weapon.

Ford, Nothing wrong at all with the 351 cleveland, in the 70's and very early 80's they were the powerplant to have. I remember building a "quasi" Boss 302 engine using the Aussie Cleveland 4Vheads. Thank Ford for the milestone '81 Mustang GT 5.0's, they have changed the car world. Remembe...

Re: WWWWAAAAAYYYY OT

I agree with dirtcowboy, why not just go to Windsor? A 408 stroker is a heck of power house that you can still down grade to a street driveable engine. The Cleveland or Modified ('78-'80), especially in the 400 configuration is not that good of an engine, the 4bbl heads have too big of ports for lo...

Re: WWWWAAAAAYYYY OT

Tycer the 400 will not physically fit in the car. I am using a cleveland and the header bolts touch the shock towers now. It is in a 1966 mustang with a stock front suspension. I have several set of cc 4v heads but spares are never a bad thing. Am trying to build a 408 stroker for the long run but ...

Re: Why do I want a 30-30??

Good topic. I just finished a Gunbroker 30-30 odessy acquiring 4 Winchester 94's and 1 Marlin straight stock rifles. I didn't pay 1 cent more than $300.00 for any of them. Why? I dunno, got an itch I suppose. They all have finish issues, I'm sending one to Mac at the Shootin Iron store for some gunk...
