Re: .22 ammo bubble about to burst?
Do not know if it is about to burst or not. Have often thought if there is a .22 ammunition "dump" on the market, what is to keep those who do not have any or very little from buying it all in hopes of living through the next powder-primer-ammunition shortage or run on components??.... I ...

I'd approach it this way. 10-22 most reliable with the high speed stuff, best HS stuff is CCI Mini-mag or Winchester PP. Mini-mags solid and HP. Availability is the only problem.

The Winchester 64 gr. PP was issued by the California CHP and is well known as an effective load. Sounds to me as though they had a problem with neck tension in that lot of brass.

I have 2 101s and both are "skeet" guns. I don't know of anything to avoid aside from the usual with any used gun.

Nice touch with the chew toy sheath, it really sets it off. Years ago when I first got a computer and bandwidth was at a premium there weren't many forums like we have today. There were however "mail lists" that served the same purpose. I got on a mail list sponsored by the Univ of Quebec...

Re: they want me to buy a Browning T-bolt .22
They DO have a problem. The stocks on these old T-Bolts (I have one - left-hand plain gun with the box, papers, single-shot adapter - that I bought for one of my boys back in '74) were made from blanks that some nameless Browning engineer thought could be quickly dried using a salt treatment. Guess...

Re: OK Sixgun, Griff - Colts
At that price I'd have bought them both. To my mind those are the two best lengths with the 5-1/2" being neither nor. The 7-1/2" actually feels lighter in the hand due to the way the longer barrel balances the gun.

Re: Need some help - Original Winchester 1894 and AI 25-35
Ok. Neat gun. You can use standard .25-35 ammo in the gun which will fire form it. You'll then have cases from which you can have dies made unless you find a set on one of the boards or auction houses. CH Tool ought to the be the least expensive but some people have a brand preference so that's up t...

Notice how the Marlin action fails? Looks the same in every photo I've seen. I've HEARD of the locking surfaces peening to the point of failure but never seen a photo and I've looked and asked, even begged for one. This is a very interesting subject that seems to come up about every 8 months or so.
