I like Titebond wood glue. It is cheaper than the gorilla glue that you find and most all of it dries completely clear. It has different strength levels too.

Back in the 90s I went up in the mountains of California on a fishing trip with my platoon sergeant. He assured me we were going after a rare fish that was only found in that region. Most bullet co. that I have worked with recommend the .311 casting for 30-30 Marlin with microgroove to ensure you fill the grooves. I am sure the .357 probably will prefer an extra thousands or two for their bore size.

Re: Remington 870 with rifle sights and modified choke
Is the choke still stuck? Try sticking it muzzle down into a container and soak it in acetone. If it's just stuck from plastic wad build up it should loosen up. But if it's over torqued you are screwed. If you can't remove a choke tube with your fingers it's too tight! And always lube the threads! ...

Several years back I picked up a pawnshop find REM 870 with a 28" barrel and a stuck Modified Choke. It has the cheap black coating and had surface rust freckling all over it. Cleaned the gun and barrel up with steel wool and rust and bluing remover and bought some Flat Black Krylon Grill Paint...

It looks like Winchester has updated their website for reloading data. I sent them an email about 6 months ago telling them that W244 has been out a while and there should be more load data available. They still need to get some CAT II or III Load Data for .44 Special but I doubt that will happen.

When you go to the hodgdon site, WSF does not even show as an option for any weight of .44 Special Bullet. I prefer to use W244 as it sits right next to Unique on the Powder Burn Rate Chart. That is only because I have not seen another can of Unique since I bought my last one.
