Bought this off epay as I liked the blade. It had rough jute type cord epoxied to the handle.
I tea stained some string and rewrapped the handle. Tonight I made this little sheath.

Is it really a 300-500 yard gun?

I'm looking at a 30 cal rifle for distance shooting.
Can you tell me what your thoughts are regarding the 30-40 and 30-06?
I'm thinking 300-500 yards and it's been over 30 years since I shot a 30-40.
I have a vintage 30-30 already.

I have a rusty old trapdoor only missing a couple screws.
A 1895-1899 Stevens Favorite needing alot of attention.
Just picked up a S&W Hand Ejector 1902 Model from 1904.
A couple of tip up bicycle guns. 1908 Marlin 1893 in 30-30.

Years ago when I had that same pistol I carried it in a shoulder holster or
a Bianchi 5BHL (crossdraw) or something like that, not sure of the model

I think the 357 is better.
I bought mom a 327 SP101 only because at 70 and arthritis can make shooting painful,
(practice here) cuz if she needs it then she won't even think about the recoil,
Only because of the lighter load options.

I had a compound in the early 80's, been shooting a barebow recurve ever since. It will take me about two weeks to get into form but I prefer it that way. You don't need all the stuff people add to bows these days (wheels included). When I'm in good form I have no problem hitting to 40 yards easily ...

Keep the site the way it is! Excellent job by all, moderator's and posters with only a few problems. When I need something, I always look to the sticky from sponsors' and supporters first. I just gave mom the 327 Federal version for xmas. I did an action job and it feels nice and smooth now. swapped the 14lb hammer spring for a 10lb one, and the stock trigger return for a lighter one as well. Mom, 70, can now cock one handed and SA is 3.5 lb smoothed the hammer and radiused the trigge...
