For fire ant mounds, dishwashing soap works pretty well. If you can fill the tunnels with a mixture of water and dishwashing soap (cheap is fine), the mound will be killed. It takes three or four gallons to fill mounds around my place. Like always they will eventually return, but that usually keeps ...

With a belt clip and a laserguard sight, it will ride in the top of a boot quite comfortably and can hit accurately.
Without a laser sight it is probably most effective as a noisemaker.

Shortly after I finished college (over 50 years ago now), my parent's home was burglarized and torched. There was an article in the newspaper about it a few days later. The only factual information in the article was that the house burned on the day specified in the article. The rest of the article ...

Years ago I had an octagon barreled Marlin 1893 in 32-40 relined by Redman's Rifling & Reboring in Omak, Washington. The craftsmanship was excellent, and it takes a really close examination of the muzzle to detect that it was done. On his website it appears that he is not currently taking on new...

We have a few large antlered bucks in our area, but mostly bucks with small antlers. I have seen may with a decent antler on one side of their head, and a shriveled looking dwarf antler on the other side. These little basket racks are nowhere close to the legal minimum spread requirement. I fail to ...

I shot a doe with a rifle similar to yours back in the late 70s. It killed her very dead, and she was tasty.
The 45 has plenty of power to spare for deer, just put the shot in the right place.

One simply needs to remember that the foundation of news reporting rests on the three "C"s.
Conflict
Controversy
Catastrophe
"Good news" does not fit into any of those categories, and therefore it seldom makes it to the surface.
