QuickLoad Ver 3.8 (Latest) Powders
OK, so in answer to one or two interested parties here, I finally loosened the purse strings and got the latest QuickLoad update - Version 3.8, produced Dec. 2, 2016. The main question is always about the powders covered. There are now 294 powders in the QuickLoad tables. The update disc is $15.95; ...

That's sad, loved reading about his high velocity handgun loads, when I started in the 70's. Yes. My chosen duty carry, as soon as I learned of this phenomenal ammo, was SuperVels in my .357 and then later in my .45 ACP Colt Series 70. Mr. Jurras changed the landscape of modern ammo. I, too, have s...

44 Special Handloads - Handloader Mag
Handloader Magazine June 2017 (HL issue 308) has a good article on 44 Special Handloads. ".44 S&W Special Bullets and Powders for Standard Pressure Loads" by Brian Pearce shows several loads with different bullets, bullet weights and powders at 15,500 psi pressure levels and some fact...

Re: Stick Powder? Lee Dippers Win!
I haven't used my Lee powder dippers which come with the Lee die sets. I think you all have given me an idea. The .327 Magnum takes a very small amount of powder and it is hard to bring my powder throw down to the right setting. If I can get the right size Lee dipper, I could probably speed up the ...

I am not as well read as some others on this forum. Very relevant to some of us, Lefty. The slide is indeed hard to rack, which is part of the reason that recoil seems to be so light for the size of the gun.
