Re: Cleaned up my 99c

I ended up selling it on a local gun site. I asked $500 was offered $450 came back with $475 and the offer was accepted. I'm happy and so is the buyer. Now I have some play money to go hunting with again. Still looking for a 99F with a tang safety in 308. The hunt is the best part.

Nothing wrong with a $200 model 11, you will enjoy it. I just sold my 99c, was asking $500 buyer offered $450 I came back with $475 and he accepted. That was my target price anyway, both people were happy. I haven't had much luck at shows either, all the sellers were waiting for the uninformed. (suc...

If memory serves, there is an uncle mikes for the Mossberg 500. If you are handy you can drill and tap the band. I did this on my 356 but I messed up and it pulled through. Not much metal in those bands. On my circa 1943 model 94 I have a swivel installed in the forearm band. I believe this was an o...

I would look around for an old stock off of another rifle. That way when your son grows into it he can have the original stock in its original condition. Look on any of the recoil pad manufacturers web sight and they should give the dimensions of their pads. If you want an inch shorter you would hav...

mailman delivered my 11-48 today

I was pleasantly surprised by its condition. The photos were not the best when I bought it but for $225 deliverd to my door I figured I had nothing to lose. It was in great need of an internal cleaning but other than that not bad for a circa 1955 shotgun. (lots of dried oil and crud inside but every...
