This is just a little off from a deer attract.

Two good old boys here in Johnson County hit a deer while they were driving around drinking and or doping. The flung the deer in their truck and drove into a small town where they parked the truck and walked to another good old boy's house and shot his pit bull. They also shot his car and house. The...

Mic knows his way around a Marlin lever gun.
I have an 18" 44Mag that he did a few things to a few years ago. It stays close by.
If you haven't seen his article in last months GUNS you need to pick it up.
How about a Marlin Lever rifle in 510?

There are some good kids in that photo. Paul's two boys, the kid in the yellow head set belongs to Farmer and is out in NM blasting away. The little kid in the background with the blue headset has about ten hogs, a turkey or two, and assorted varmints to his credit this year. Good kids, good shooter...

My little Brother Scott is a man of character and is morally upstanding.
Terry is a good friend and a more trustworthy man you can not find.

An awesome song from the War of Northern Aggression. Written and sung to build the moral of the aggressors. "Let us die to make men free". If Dixie was performed the PC bunch would jump all over it. "In Dixie land I will make my stand to live and die in Dixie. Patriotic to the end. Th...

Then again, you are using open sights. Open sights are just barely better than no sights at all, IMHO. They require you to try to look at three things in line at one time. Your eye does not like this idea and refuses to do it. You have to look at the notch in the rear sight, put the bead in the not...

I know those two old boys on the far right of the group photo.
Looks to be a retired fire fighter (lost all the pressure in his pump, Jim Williamson), and an estate planner or some such (Billy Tharp).

Hobie is right about picking up parts for the T/Cs.
The 22/250 barrel, fore arm, base, rings, and scope were $150.00.

The action and stock were under $200.00 in trade. $350.00 for an accurate rifle is not bad.

The encore 22-250 barrel with the Tasco 24x scope did well today. After I got it zeroed I shot a few groups with it. The cross hairs in the 24x scope are too fine with too small a dot for 69 year old eyes. Too much magnification with a lost reference point most of the time. I shot several sub 1"...
