Re: John Wayne 100th Anniversary lever

I've got a set of the JW's, the Custom Grade and the Hi Grade, they are made by Miroku in Japan, says so right on the box. They are beautiful (especially the Custom Grade), and the quality is excellent like all the other Winchester/Browning/Miroku Rifles. If you got the chance to get one for a good ...

I usually boil the skull for 3 or 4 hours (not letting the Antlers in the water) then take a high pressure washer and blast most of the meat, fur, brains etc..off. Then soak it in a solution of Hydrogen Peroxide to whiten the skull.
We do 90% of our mounts like this.

Hi Kim, Well, truth be known I'm from Atlanta. I've lived over here since I got out of the Army in the early 90's. I work for one of the largest Hunting Outfitters / Gun Dealers in Austria, and sell most of the CAS guns here as well. I'm a Pedersoli, Uberti, Armi Sport, Palmetto, Pietta, and Chappar...

Try http://www.egun.de/market/index.php it's a pretty good site with lots of intresting stuff (it's in German though). If you are looking for something special PM me. I'm a Gun Dealer in Austria and regularly find stuff for a couple of good clients in the US.

I thought from reading the posts that this was a new Caliber, I understand what a "Cowboy Load" is, but they were talking about Die sets and stuff. Maybe I misunderstood.

45 Cowboy Cartridge, What is it?

Howdy all,
I've seen this new 45 Cowboy Cartridge popping up in a few posts, we've not seen it here in Austria yet. What is it exactly, and can you use it in the Winchesters and Clones with out any mods?
Inquiring minds.....

Thanks,
Rick

I once had to Zero a Ferlach 500 N.E. Double rifle for a Customer after he bought a new scope. Both barrels went off at the same time. It knocked me out of my chair and broke my Collar Bone. Ouch!!! Now, If any one even comes through the door with an old Big Game Rifle I run like hell.

Well, OK, I'll have to give in, those pairs are nicer than mine, but I'll bet in another 20 years or so my pair won't show the effects of Gravity as much. Ravenman, You ever get over in my neck of the woods to do any shootin? We have a great CAS weekend 2nd-4th May in Harringsee(30 km east of Wien)....

Geoff, My Grandfather was also here in Austria ( Salzburg and Tirol ) after the war as part of the Occupation Forces. He also spoke very highly of them. You'd be suprised at what turns up here as far as Old West guns go. I work for one of the largest Dealers in Austria and sometimes I get some amazi...

Really nice collection Rick. You obviously have taken a hankering to the western side of things. Now, my curiousity is getting the better of me. How does a guy living in Austria learn the English language better than most of the citizens living in the U.S.A.? When the common language of Austria is ...

Hi Geoff, It would be hard to say which Schofield is the best. The S&W is from the fit and finish the best. It has an elegance that could only come from the S&W Custom Shop. Shooting wise there is really no diffrence, both hold excelent groups at 25 meters. The Uberti tends to bind up a litt...

The Colt Root is really cool to shoot, its a .44, its made by Armi Sport in Italy. I dont know who the American Importer is or if its sold under the Armi Sport name in the US. I shoot it sometimes in CAS competitions here in Austria. Its not very fast, but every body loves to see it in action. It wi...

Have you ever seen a nicer pair

It arrived at 4:30 this afternoon, now I have the pair of John Wayne Centinnials. Wow! The Custom Grade is even more beautiful than the High Grade. I was lucky to get the matched pair. The English importer only wanted to give me the single rifle (High Grade), but he relented. I think my wife will ha...

Got the John Wayne Centennial Custom Grade Also

It's Christmas a little late or a little early. The English Browning/Winchester Importer called me on Wed. and said he would also give me the Custom Grade John Wayne 92. It's the one with the Leather Case, Blued frame with gold Inlay. I got the High Grade on Monday. (Pics. in earlier post.) He said ...

Just got my John Wayne Centennial Mod.92 today !!!

Yahoo, It came today :D , I wasn't sure if Iwas going to be able pull it off as there were none alloted for Austria but I was able get the English Importer, after lots and lots of begging to give me one of the 6 he had. Has anyone else gotten one? http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh55/rickengman/W...
