Ive been contemplating on pushing the 140gr FTX with lilgun.I think at 2000 +fps
it would be a great vermin round.

I have some 7.62 military fmj that seems alittle hot in my Ruger Hawkeye 308.The cases stick slightly but group well.I pulled the bullets and measured the ball powder@ 44gr.I ended up dumping the powder, then loading them back with Re15.My normal load is 47gr and a 150 Interlock which is medium.Speer...

Im sure the price will be high but for a hunting only it might reach out there. The reg FTX
shoots great out of my 1975 336 but I just shoot them at a club shoot. My hunting bullets are
170gr interlocks. The 140 will get a little boost in speed and hold together.Just another one
to play with.

I have a problem with bead sights also.On my 1894c I filed the bead off and flattened the top
into a post type and shrank my shot groups in half.I like the Hi-Viz type sights but wish the
light pipes were finer as my eyes are good.

I recently did some soaked newsprint bullet tests and found the same results between
30-30 and 308 win.
308 150gr factory rem.
30-30 170gr hornady interlocks.
the 30-30 penetrated 8" deeper and a perfect mushroom.
the 308 bullet blew apart and stoped short.

maybe the rifle should be a 357 instead of the 30-30.I feel my hot loaded 357 has alot
less recoil than any 30-30 loads of mine.158gr at 1600-1800(slightly over factory)would
have better power with little recoil.Only down side I see is trajectory.
