Re: OUR GUN CLUB HAS RUN OUT OF.....
I had thought about buying a new rifle this year in a new caliber for me, but after seeing how tough ammo is to buy the heck with adding anything new, I have enough of a stash for what I currently own. Just out of curiosity I went to midway USA and searched for 30-06 ammo. 116 types EVERY SINGLE one...

Re: 45-70 lever ammo feeding advice needed
Thanks to all who responded and gave advice.
I usually do hunt with different ammo than the Hornaday, and all other ammo i have tried has fed fine. I can use the Hornaday in my Ruger #3
But if I wanted to change the magazine follower, where do I get the new style and how hard is it to change out?

45-70 lever ammo feeding advice needed
I own a Marlin 1895S made in 1982 (no safety) 22" barrel with micro groove rifling. I tried some of the Hornady Leverevolution ammo 325 grains, they just don't feed well. As I pull the lever up to load the chamber the ammo "sticks" so I have to lower the lever slightly then it will fe...

Lever gun magazine Disconnect?
For those familiar with Browning A-5 shotguns, they have a mag disconnect to easily unload the chamber or change the type of shot shell in use. Just wondering why the lever guns don't have one. It would have made it easier when taking the round out of the chamber to be legal when in the vehicle or o...

Used with the a #1, to center the flash hole reamer into the case mouth. This one is for a 6mm. You would need the handle and reamer (see #1) then you slide and use a set screw to tighten the pilot onto the reamer. The reamer is used to clean out and round out the primer flash hole inside the brass ...
