Those extractor cuts were just a change made to more simplified method of manufacture.

Hello all, new to the forum. I have a 1904 1894 Winchester in 38-55, purchased affordably from an auction as non cycling or non full cycling. Swapped the bolt with a 1905 and it functioned fine. I have in the gun an incorrect bolt, they physically looked different. I suspect it's a post war or post ...
