Re: Rossi R 92s
I have a 20” stainless in 44 mag….love it but that crescent buttstock is a little harsh with 365 RDs. I have a 16” blued in 45 Colt OTW. The 44 is stainless to accompany my 629 mountain gun. The blued 16” is to accompany my 3rd gen Colt

Re: Who bought the last guns you sold?
Well as I’ve gotten older my preferences have changed, when I was active LEO I bought mostly semi auto stuff. Now I’m more of a SAA and lever Gun guy. Last gun I sold was to Buds for credit to get a R92 16” 45 Colt. Gun I most regret letting go of…Dan Wesson 44 mag pistol pack, circa 1980!

Re: ALWAYS wear eye protection…
A buddy of mine took a 556 round in the arm, we were standing outside the newly built, half million dollar shoot house when 556 Swaged itself through a corner that was only tac welded! It was nasty! I wear shooting glasses when I’m mowing too, used to wear a pair all the time on patrol, had Buddy ge...

Rossi 45 Colt bore
I’m looking to get a ball park bore diameter on the R92 in 45 Colt. I have Colt SAA that has
454 throats and a 4525 bore. Trying to figure out if I want the Rossi as a sidekick!

Re: Rossi 92 loading gate
Ok I took out the loading gate and slimmed down the “spring area” on the gate I also used some 10,000 grit 3M wet/oil sharpening paper and smoothed off the end of the gate….it fits nicely now. But not much difference in ease of loading. I also used my “Montgomery Wards” brand Dremel tool with a felt...

Re: End of an Era -- Last RAF "Battle of Britain" Pilot Passes
I met one while I was in Germany. He was rather Kurt(pun intended) until he heard me talk and realized I was an American…..apparently he didn’t care for Germans unless they were former Luftwaffe pilots….mutual respect I suppose….I “ blew the froth off a few” with him,on me of course….neat gentleman…...

Rossi 92 loading gate
I bought a new Rossi in 44 mag, runs great shoots good too! Upon taking it down to clean it I noted the loading gate itself is too long and doesn’t fully seal the opening. I’m gonna file the spring portion as per Steve’s video but looking for advice on working on the gate end portion.

Re: New Rossi 92
Whoooobuddy! Just tried 10 dummy rounds each of RD TLC432-265 FP and Keith 255 grain bullets. Both cycled and ejected without fail! I did have to give the RD a little more roll crimp ( 1/4 turn) to get the to run flawless. Now to play with powders and loads

45-90 just realized what caliber you had…….I always wanted an 86 in 50-90….just because! I’m a big bore fan. I have a 22 rifle pistol combo and 1 9 mm and 1 10 mm, but 4 1911 45s, 1 1911 50 gi, 1 45-70, 1 M1A and a 45-110 sharps

Re: New Rossi 92
I much agree, you have to make them a pair, I bought the 92 in 44 to match my stainless SW 629! Now I’ll have to look into a blued or case color 92 in 45 colt to go with my Colt SAA! Hard to find the color case and usually they go for more than I want to pay! Momma won’t understand or be happy…….but...

Re: New Rossi 92
Redneck, I have shot one, I’m glad it didn’t have a true crescent butt plate
it would make a nice light brush gun in bear country for sure! I’ve got an 1895 SBL in 45-70, but a light 92 would be easier to carry!

New Rossi 92
Boy Howdy, picked up my new 92, Rossi 44 mag, 20” stainless! She cycles smoother than expected. Took her apart and cleaned her thoroughly. The bolt was fairly good, very minimal machine marks, I smoothed it a little with thousand grit wet sand paper…..thank god I got Steve’s video, took me awhile tr...

Re: Ported barrels and lead bullets
I had a Dan Wesson 44 pistol pac. It had the factory comped bbl and shrouds, it was accurate with jacketed and gas checked lead but with softer lead, it leaded like a forcing cone just at the muzzle past the ports! I think maybe it was from gas cutting at the ports. Of course I was young and dumb….....
