the .22WMG is the way to go,because you don't vaporize the game with a .17HR ,you can shoot the Win .22WRF and get the original first 1890 Mag (good for about 75 years)for game you want to eat!

Thanks for the info. I don't own a .308 yet. The reason I ask is that a planned project of mine requires 30-30 ballistics, but I have no need for a 30-30 since my leverguns in .357, .44, and 45/70 cover pretty much all lever action niches. Nice collection for sure,and I have a Marlin that looks like the secound one of your rifles(93)that is in 410 guage.

No barrel marks or such just on backstrap says Marlin 410,and under the lever a 1822.
