Re: thoughts on the 375 BB winchester?
Well Buck that seems kind of useless as in just what rifles were recomended for use with the 454Casull? Let me quess Rossie ,Right? So what you say is in effect that the Win BB,Marlin,Savage 99,and the Rem Nylon 66 and hundreds of other rifles can't handle that kind of pressure! I thank you for your...

And Noah and some would say while you have this screw out that you should file or grind it off till it doesn't touch the barrel when you reasemble it(free floating the barrel type thing)!

Re: 410 marlin lever rifle and 45 colt
I've got an original 1929 Model .410 Marlin lever, but would never use .410 slugs in it, or .45 Colt either! Why not just buy a Model 1894 Marlin in .45 Colt if you want to shoot .45 Colt? I have one also and .410 slugs 2&1/2 inch work just fine! It has little value to hunters just like the Win...

Just to give you guys in Oklahoma a wake up call and a frightening thought: I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma in 1943 (moved/left in 1948) (and this is where the frightening part comes in) and I might just go back for a visit sometime. Bearing that in mind "UncleBuck"...

Tom Horn thought the 30-30 was quite adequate. And he didn't worry too much about the consequences either. I think tom Horn got convicted of shooting with a 45/90 and he said that the shot that he was convicted of could not have been made And there is a good chance that the 30/30 wasn't even in exis...

Thanks for the info. I don't own a .308 yet. The reason I ask is that a planned project of mine requires 30-30 ballistics, but I have no need for a 30-30 since my leverguns in .357, .44, and 45/70 cover pretty much all lever action niches. IMO, of course. A Remington pump in .308 might be in order ...
