Re: Leverguns Safari 2009 - Winter

I enjoyed my time last year though I never got off a shot.

I throw in a tentative Yes for now.

I'll pack a better camera, and my long handles for that wind-swept tree stand. Watching the rams butt heads from on high was just like when I was a kid watching Wild Kingdom.

Re: OT - Drill Sergeant Joe B. Frick's Rules For A Gunfight

Something I learned at the '04 Riddle:

1. Always have a weapon.
2. Always be prepared for battle.
3. There are no rules when your life is on the line.

I've got out of town inspectors coming in that block of time, but it does sound as if they are running late enough to put it off.

Maybe they'll pass me by. I will not know if I'll be there until days before. - Brian

Pick up the Hodgdon annual reloading magazine, Mike Rintual told me they are going online and will not publish these anymore. Anyway Mike put me on to Lil' Gun. In 357 and 41, it gives high velocity with less pressure than similar powders. does not seem to be the case in 44 or 45+p. I've not shot an...

I also have a goodly collection of milk jugs if a large source of water is nearby, and the desire for creating a mess is present.

I was saving these for sword and bowie practice this summer, but I can make more later. :D

At the risk of fermenting discord, dispair, and all around disharmony, (and maybe a fist-fight or two) I'll put some fresh batteries in the chronograph and bring that.

Its the only way to know that you know.

P.S. I'm bringing a bottle of Malt also.

Why not?

S&W is marketing a "tactical" revolver. Why not a Ching Sling on a lever.

But only on a lever that has black synthetic furniture - no wood.

Steppin' back in time with the plastic fantastic.

Sounds like a good time. I'm up for it.

Ricky, when I developed the pic from the hog hunt, I found some pics of the Linebaugh shoot from last year, still in the camera.

I applaud your decision in weapon selection and the reasoning behind your desire to get one for this purpose. I think, however that I would have gone with a Glock 19 or 26 at the least. But thats just me. :D Steve, I'm 5' 8" and can't fit a Glock 19 in my pants pocket.  If I could ...
