Re: School Me on M94's seeking PG Shorty/Trapper 16" 18"
I’ve got a ‘79 model 94 standard 20” carbine. It was well used by the time I got it no doubt, but the receiver on it looks like chit too. As a matter of fact it annoys the stuff out of me but at the same time it’s kind of sentimental since I bought when I was a broke college student and for a long t...

Re: Gifted a rifle
A new M70 costs at least $1200. Clean it really well and put it away. Be patient, the bolt and maybe other parts may show up. If not, you can take your time shopping around and getting what you need. That Winchester isn’t eating anything Of course it is worth pointing out that a new model 70 is the...

Re: New Winchester 94
I have looked at several, and though they seem nice I’d be hesitant to buy one because $1100 is getting close to New Haven made, Pre-64 money. Particularly if you want a 30-30 or 32 WS. The Miroku jobs might make more sense if you wanted a harder to find caliber like 38-55 or 450 Marlin.

I like my 348 Winchester, brass is fairly readily available if you look for it. Bullets are also there if you look.
I think ballistically they are pretty similar, and you can go up to a 250 gr bullet in the .348

I haven’t seen anybody talking about the new Winchester Ranger .22 introduced yesterday. Looks like a decent little gun and the price is right with an MSRP of $419. I’d like to know where it’s made. I’m sure it’s not in the U.S. but who knows. It almost resembles the old 9422. I may have to pick one...

Anybody use the LEE 30-30 case length gauge for trimming 32 Win Spc as well?
I haven’t yet done any reloading for my 32 win spc and don’t have any of my manuals in front of me currently but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work off the top of my head since it’s basically the same case as a 30-30.

Streetstar, Comparing my Model 71 to my Mirokuchester ‘86 EL, the .348 definitely kicks harder to me, at least comparing 200 gr .348 silver tips to 300 grain JHP rounds in the 86.
