Re: Michigan lever gun hunt.

A fine fat doe, that will be alot of fine meat. Good looking rifle too. What part of Michigan, UP or lower? We were in Charlevoix county by a town called East Jordan in the lower peninsula. On a farm that has been in my family for a long time. It is a nice 80 acre farm that has lots of deer but the...

Re: Tree Huggers Invade Hunting Area

You should have stayed put in that stand, from some of my similar experiences, They kick up deer and the deer end up running back in the same direction that the dumb @@@'s came from, then you shoot the deer. Some times people moving through your area actually help you. I am an avid bow hunter and so...

Re: My first "High-Powered" rifle

My first Hi power rifle was a Chinese SKS 7.63x39 mm. I bought it in unissued condition packed in a crate of
10 rifles, all the rifles were in perfect condition for 49 bucks out the door. I wish I still had that gun it was a lot of fun for cheap plinking.

Re: 'Ma Deuce' Days May be Numbered

That will be a sad day when the old war horse of the infantry is gone.
When I was in the Gulf War we were shooting .50 cal ammo in a M2
with manufacturing dates inside the ammo cans from 1953.
The Gun fired flawless and so did the ammo.

Re: OT - The Benjamin Sheridan 392 CAN do it all...

I have a mid 1980's Sheridan Silver streak in stainless that I bought new as a kid. It is still an awesome pellet rifle. About 4 weeks ago I had some flying rats (pigeons) in the backyard. At about 20 yards I took ones head clean off with the .20 cal pellet. The rest of the flock got the picture rea...

I do not think all that is needed . The last 4 deer I shot were in blue jeans.
That were washed at least 100 or more times in regular detergent.
Same with the hunting jacket. The deer don"t care what type of detergent you use.

The weapon, a Barrett, was seized in an ATF raid. A round fired from 100 yards away tore through a car door and both sides of a bulletproof vest like those used by Mexican police.
