CSA fall reunion. 26, 27, 28 Sept. Columbus, Ga. I arranged

Post by BJ Snow »

for rooms at the Colonial Inn in Phenix City, Al. $39.95 plus tax per night. Due to a problem with teir ability to take credit cards over the phone, I paid for the first dozen rooms just to make sure. We'll straighten it out when you get here.
Call them at: 334-298-9361, tell them you're with the CSA group and specify if you want a down'n'out room or not. Do this as soon as possible as there is a big race at the local dirt track that weekend, and could lessen the # of room available at this motel.
Please let me know if you;re coming so I can make proper arrangements for the banquet Sat Night.

Sounds like you will have a lot of fun!

How does one join the Confederate Six-gunners? (I believe that's the organization you are mentioning).
Is it by invitation only, or?

John, the CSA is a VERY LOOSELY organized group that meets up a couple times a year. We've been doing this since the end of the last century. It began as a group of guys that holed up on the old sixgunner.com forum that decided to get together to chew the fat in person and send some lead downrange. If you'd like to hang out for a few days with some outstanding folks, give BJ Snow a call at the phone number listed above. He can fill you in on the details. Over the years the guys have scattered over a wide variety of forums and we try to get folks together again the best we can. From this group a lot of real solid friendships have developed and guys get together more often in smaller groups for coffee or whatever. Anyway, the CSA is attended by outstanding folks from all over the US of A. I believe I still hold the record for the furthest traveled to participate. My home state is MO but since I'm overseas most of the time it's a LONG haul. I've only made it once so far, back in '04 when it was held down in Athens, TX. Anyway, it's pretty open, we've even got a bunch of yankees who make it to many of the gatherings. :)

And if any of y'all from the general area (or other areas, as far as that goes) would like to drop in and have fun with like minded folks - give BJ Snow a call and I'm sure he can get you orientated... If you DO make it - send a few downrange for me and tell everyone "Howdy!" for me. I'll be there in spirit even though I won't make it (yet again) this time...
