Henry Lever peep sight

Post by 3leggedturtle »

Has anyone installed a tang sight on your Henry 22LR lever? if so which model did you use? thanks todd
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Why not a ladder sight like the original 1860 Henry?

I haven't done it but Brownells have a Marbles sight. It's Stock No. 579-000-150
for Henry Lever Action .22S/L/LR & .22 Mag.

Here's their web page: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ ... G%20SIGHTS

I was going to tang mine, then decided to simply minimal peep it, instead:

I don'thave a Henry but, in the picture, it looks like there are the usual grooves most rimfires have.

Williams makes a FPGR fool proof sight for rimfire grooves.

Here's mine on the BL22 it's not level and i've since corrected that but, you can see how it looks - precision adjustments are the usual FP - 1/4" per click at 100 yards.

Doesn't require D/T but may require a little taller front sight.

Works for me -

I like these Williams WGRS-54 peep sights for dove-tailed 22 receivers, compact with nice clean profile but you may need a higher front sight.

The Williams are a less expensive option too. The Marbles is $130 plus $6.26 for the screws - Brownells price.
