Looks like it's accurate! It says it comes with a tool to make brass into a rimless cartridges for semi auto. A buddy told me it's stupid....I told him to wait till he has a grizzly encounter. I love my lever 45-70, but I'd choose this if that situation arose. I've had 3-4 bear encounters...one was a grizzly and there is a BIG difference between those blackies and a grizz.

Looks fun but for only $700 I just got a 50 Beowulf upper and it is very potent and reliable.

The 50 Beowulf fits the short AR-15 action and can use most metal 5.56 magazines (at 1/3 the capacity).

They even make pistol-length uppers which would make one compact powerhouse for those wanting minimalist gear in bear country.

50 Beowulf is essentially a rimless 500 S&W.

IIRC,blow out the neck of a 284 Win and make a fairly straight walled case and you pretty well have a rimless 45-70. Or better yet (and cheaper) maybe a barrel chambered in 45 Raptor or just a plain 458 Socom. Brass and dies and barrels already out for that one. Pretty well a rimless 45-70 it seems performance wise IIRC

In my younger days, I was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, home of the Kodiak Brown Bear, which according to zoologist is an oversize grizzly. Just having a 45-70 Marlin, with 5 rounds in the mag, and one in the chamber made me feel better.
Tripping over the mountains and thru the alder brush, and seeing what a big boar can do to an alder thicket is just awesome.

Yup, that's how I feel about my guide gun. . . . seeing what they do to deer and their cubs, don't even want any of that . . .

I wonder what the pressure limits will be on that ^ rifle? and what load it was designed for . . . etc.

Since I already have an 'AR Pistol' AND an 'AR SBR' - THAT would be a right nice upper.... 8)

That's gonna be on my birthday list for sure... Just WOW at that price...!

I have several of the first model side charging uppers, that actually need spares and locktite because they can shoot loose. I think that second version is probably the one to get. They are not expensive, but they are not 'cheap' either
