For the Parker lovers here
I don't know if I have ever seen more spectacular wood than Aaron Little used on this custom 28 build on a Parker 20-gauge frame.

Re: For the Parker lovers here
Parker, is a pup I kept from my 3rd litter. She is six now. Last year she became a momma herself. There is a topic here, Parker puppies if you would like to see that.
It's true what they say about bird dogs getting better the more seasons the hunt. She is indeed named after Parker shotguns but a little of it is also after PO Ackley who started my Alma matter.

Will, my late friend Chick Donnelly, of Siskiyou Barrel Works in Applegate, OR, held Parker Ackley in great reverence after his time at Trinidad. Ackley told a funny story or two at Elmer Keith's expense, having been the supervisor at Ogden Arsenal with Keith worked there.

When I started at Tdad the school had just scrapped Ackley's barrel drilling machine.

Sporty for sure ! The guns built on an 0 frame , the first Parker 28’s were all built on 0 frames they didn’t start with the 00 frame until they’d been making 28’s for several years . The little VH 28 I had was on an 0 frame and if memory serves made in 1904 or 1906 . Jacque’s in Ohio has a very very sporty Parker 28 gauge upgrade for sale , actually had the gun a few years I think . Anyway it’s been restocked with some exceptional wood along being engraved and gold inlaid by none other than Winston Churchill ! For the uninformed Winston the American born engraver not the portly British fellow with the cigar . Both incidentally are no longer with us .

Re: For the Parker lovers here
After rereading the post with the pics of the Parker 28 I’m about 95% sure I’ve had that gun in my hands last September at the Vintage Cup . A friend had commissioned someone to make him a pair of Parker’s with 34” barrels for competition being a 28 and 20 . Last September he had the 28 at the Vintage Cup .

I texted my friend and sent him the pics that is none other than his gun as I thought ! I can say for a fact the little gun has a nice feel when you put it to your shoulder .
