Had missed this new Uberti sixgun
It makes sense for those of us who struggle with open irons on a hunting sixgun. The 1860 grip adds something as well.

Love the octagonal barrel. And the finish. Only scoped revolver I ever shot is Blaine's BFR 10" 45/70. At the time I had not totally lost my grip . . . and I found the magnified barrel motion disturbing, to say the least. It makes me wonder if I could shoot a scoped handgun, other than the dash 15 pistola. My eyes are the youngest part I've got, and I don't know if that's good or bad as far as watching a roving reticle . . Long gone are the days when I could make meat from a skiff drifting in moving water with the peep sighted SBH.Bill in Oregon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 8:29 am It makes sense for those of us who struggle with open irons on a hunting sixgun. .
A peep-sighted handgun is still an option, eh?

Wow!
That's almost as bad as looking at one of Blaine's krispy kreme calendar models!
Ugh!

Maybe... But it's better looking than the new Henry revolver...

True, but I'd expect something hideous from Henry, they have no aesthetic appeal across the entire line up. Not Uberti.
Just pokin' some fun. Didn't intend to get anyone riled up.

Jason, that was my initial reaction and then I told myself, wait, haven't you paid gunsmiths to add scope mounts to revolvers before? (Yes.) I think if I had one I would mount the scope and then remove every piece of that rail not absolutely necessary. It would be fine as a hunting tool.

It's all good.
I've never had any interest in a scope on a handgun. Fortunately, my eyesight isn't one of the few things that are failing these days.

Jason, I realize scopes on revolvers are deal-breakers for a lot of shooters. Even with cataract surgeries four years ago, the irons are getting tougher for me to use. Take care of your eyes!

Ditto on both counts (but my cataract surgery was a few years before that)!Bill in Oregon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 5:51 pm Jason, I realize scopes on revolvers are deal-breakers for a lot of shooters.
