22LR Ammo recall

Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

I have found Remington sub sonics to be inconsistent in the past, I would only buy them if nothing else was available.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

The Remington 'thunderbolt ' has been the most inconsistent stuff I've run across. And of course I have 8 or 10 bricks of it! Hey I got it for next to nothing :D

As stated Remington is my least favorite rimfire ammo and like many here may have fired a few hundred 1000 of them from different manufactures.

Forty years ago I exclusively used Remington 37 grain HP ammunition to squirrel hunt with because it was very accurate out of my 10/22. All of the bullets were wax coated and crimped well, no loose bullets.
I recently bought a 100 round plastic tray of the 37 gr HP's and they were very inconsistent with many flyers. I noticed that some bullets were out of round and some were loose in the case.

I can only assume that the tooling that Remington uses is worn out or they just don't care about quality.

Remington rimfire is the worst.

Lotsa misfires, not all that accurate, etc.

I'll buy anything else available before I buy that stuff.

I’ve got one 22 that absolutely loves Thunderbolt. Crunchy wax and all.
Kind regards,

Each gun is a different story but I seem to never get misfires with Federal or CCI ammo. Armscorps is pretty good too.

But I seem to get misfires with Remington

I had some federal that no matter what gun I tried them in they would not go off. I sent them back to federal and they replaced them. Then one day months later I heard metal bouncing around in the dryer.
Yup it was a single federal .22. Seems I washed close to a box of those 22s in a pocket and not knowing any better I sent federal ammo that was clean!
