Rossi M59, .22 Mag

Post by trooper joe »

Just found this beautiful Rossi copy of the old Winchester 62 pump .22. This one is in the very hard to find .22 Mag and seems to be in perfect condition. It feeds .22 Mag like silk and has a really light smooth trigger.

Field stripped it this afternoon and the insides look just as good as the exterior. The bore looked a little rough at first but it was just dust. After cleaning it looks perfect.

Will try to get to the range next week and will report back.

Looks great, nice find on the early Interarms.

I've had my 62 since early 90's ,it's a tack driver too. I put a Lyman tang sight on mine.Winchester 1890 sights. Mine has octagon barrel .

Oh I forgot ,does the muzzle have a tapered lead in ? Mine is crowned but also has a deep lead in looks like a forcing cone.
And it's factory I bought it brand new.

We have lots of laws that make buying a firearm difficult I just wish we had as many for selling them....

I Gave one in .22 long rifle to My Son many years ago . It runs like a barn on fire. One of the "sleepers" in the Gun world. :D .

Nice one. Love me some pumps. Been trying to resist a Win model 275 Deluxe in .22 Mag at a local. I think I have given up. Gonna see if it's still there this week.

The 62 Amadeo Rossi was very close copy of the WRA 62 A
Only thing I didn't like was the sights ,as stated above I installed a WRA 1890 rear on mine .Had to make custom dovetail insert.
The front blade was beefy enough I reconfigured it and sculpted a bead out of the blade.

Once the tang was drilled/tapped added the Lyman tang sight it is a shooter.
