What are you packing for the National Zombie Attack Alert tomorrow?

Post by JimT »

I have one friend who has a baseball bat in his truck, wrapped with barbed wire.

For me, I am keeping the Model 25 Daisy BB gun close to hand. I want to discourage, not injure.

I take the threat of a Zombie attack seriously and have a good old fashioned British policeman's truncheon....

Squirt gun. The one I was born with if it is working properly. They hate it when you pee on their shoes.

Getting a new Reflex Rifle Scope for my son's 40 cal carbine delivered this afternoon as his current TruGlo 2x reflex Scope I got in 2004 is tired and it sometimes turns off when the carbine fires.

Depends on which movie the zombies are from.

Good old fashioned Dawn of the Dead zombies are probably handled pretty well with a 10-22.

But those Brad Pitt movie zombies are something else again!

I'm thinking entrenching tool, aka old-school melee weapon. Oddly enough, I thought of that Brad Pitt zombie movie just this morning.

In a way, “Game of Thrones” was as much a zombie movie as it was a dragon movie.

I just got a text about the alert... All's well, it was just a test... as I sat here with my cap n ball revolvers... (8 in total), 2,000 balls, 2,000 caps, a definite lack of wads, (thanks for reminder to order more)! Worst thing ever... I have a full GI can of 308 ball, but don't own a rifle in that cartridge... need to trade it out for some .30-06 for the Garand or 1903-A3! For long distance zombies, either of those or my .223 Varmit getter:

Now Griff IF you have a GI can full of 308 then you MUST get yourself a rifle in that flavor! :D

Since I've 2 rifles in .30-06, this should make for good trading opportunities!

Things were quiet here until about 4PM when all of a sudden .. with loud horrible screaming .. the door burst open and these 2 figures about 4 feet tall came screaming in waving swords and moving very quickly around the room. I was sorta paralyzed and was thinking of reaching for my Norse battle axe when I realized it was my grandson's home from a day at School ... waving their light sabers and attacking each other, the dogs and anyone who was in their path.

Mythical undead malevolents are nothing compared to grand imps in character as jedi knights.

These three remind me of mine.....

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YvlGGWqRz ... 5lcw%3D%3D

Fast forward to about 9:15 and hear the judge's admonition.....

I say the same ("gentlemen you must control your killing insticts") in an identical deadpan voice as the incorrigibles are destroying the living room or den.

Thankfully the eldest has outgrown the madness and just sprains his thumbs playing similar "combat" on his gaming devices.

Belay that last misinformation.....

Their granny, my beloved bride of 12,094 days, corrects me in that, during the intense hand to hand skirmishes that rattle the windows, the middle grand imp is a wookie..... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wookiee

and the youngest is bruce wayne/batman.
