Looks about the size of the bird's head Taylor's Cattleman I recently picked up. Though I have yet to take mine out shooting.

Agree. It just seems naturally suited to your bride's hand.

Very cool, and it appears that she got a good one!

I've heard that bad crowns are an issue with some wranglers, easy enough to fix and mine doesn't suffer the malady either.

I shot the gun and thought it is a little rough, it shots fine and it shoots to the sights. A little oil helped it smooth out and I’m sure I can hunt down any errant burs.

Give it a burnishing, cock it (unloaded) , putting the end of the tail of the hammer on a solid surface, add some body weight and pull the trigger. Do that a few times and you will notice a difference.

Trigger is not bad. However it is difficult for her to cock. I’ll replace the hammer spring and polish inside a bit.

She seems pleased with it. Glad it shoots to point of aim. Hope it never lets her down.

You can see it from the smile on her face. This is her first firearm of any type.

Yup, around here we call that a "Poor Man's Trigger Job" -- it usually does help somewhat, but has it's limits.

That's great!

They are a little rough, but the oldest has probably run 5-600 rounds through his already and it seems to be getting a bit smoother as it goes.
Really tempted to pick one up for myself.

Oh, this must be the Wrangler from the other thread. Sorry, I'm a little slow. Great that she's enjoying it.

I got my wife a Beretta 84F in .380 ACP to introduce her to guns. It was a bad choice on my part ... a .380 in a blowback action is a little harsh. She enjoys shooting my .22 revolvers though.

have you looked at the LCP .22? I wonder if it would be better for my wife. Except she shoots the 380 well, and i hate the newest LCP triggers....

That’s the one. When I won it, she asked if we could change out the grips. I told her that we could. She sort of indicated that she wanted the gun and I was happy to give it to her.

I did a trigger job tonight. Cut a couple of curls off the mainspring and replaced the trigger spring with a Wolff.

Cleaned up some burrs with an Arkansas stone and put a little red axle grease in the action on contact points. Operated the action a bit and she is having no trouble working the action now.

I’m so blessed. The gun means nothing to me but she’s a blessing every day.

The night we won this gun at the Holiday she told me that she wanted different grips. Next will be some leather from Simply Rugged.

Do you have the short one or the 4 inch?

Seems to me that the 4" model 69 would be a more practical alternative to the scandium model 329.

Great Guns are a dime a dozen when compared to a Great Wife.
